Hi, its me Myra B. of HeddaAndLouellaAreDead.com. Just wanted to share with all my loyal readers the news that the incomparable Diane Sawyer, successor to another television icon Barbara Walters, will host a two hour special featuring Jackie Kennedy’s historical remembrances. Doing the interview will be that notorious New Frontier intellectual poodle Arthur Schlesinger Jr., a man who never tired of reminding one and all of his great advantage in being Jack Kennedy’s resident gargoyle.Well, I can’t wait to hear Diane breathless commentary, and soulful looks, on this revelation of what it was like in the days before video tape or film, or am I wrong? Well, none the less it should make for great television, being an audio tape, but you know those canny television people. I’m sure they will garnish it to the hilt with plenty of video and film, and good old fashioned heart tugging might have beens. Agnes Nixon lives!

Sincerely yours,

Myra B.

About stephenkmacksd

Rootless cosmopolitan, down at heels intellectual;would be writer. 'Polemic is a discourse of conflict, whose effect depends on a delicate balance between the requirements of truth and the enticements of anger, the duty to argue and the zest to inflame. Its rhetoric allows, even enforces, a certain figurative licence. Like epitaphs in Johnson’s adage, it is not under oath.' https://www.lrb.co.uk/v15/n20/perry-anderson/diary
