Here is Cockeyed Platonist (CP) at the point of literary desperation, as his deadline draws near. Here are a mass of disparate quotations pressed into a nearly readable, yet thin, essay on 'The Poetry of Everyday Life'.He goes all over the intellectual map to cobble together this bricolage. And the list of quotations and their sources is indeed impressive.Yet this particular attempt to sound a note of philosophical seriousness ends in a kind of inept pastiche, even unintentional comedy. Please see my superb book 'Queer: As a Way of Being' for tips on coping with my self-aggrandizing conception of queer person-hood, as somehow an indication of my exceptionalism, as a bearer of a sacred tradition of the sexually marginal : with a side note on my present political inequality, to add a certain frisson.
